The only party that brings together all of New York’s most ascendant founders and tech power players. The NYC Tech Awards honor the most impressive startups of the past year—those who've clinched big fundraises, built inspiring visions, and had a meaningful impact—plus established industry icons who have shaped the city over decades. All honorees will receive a physical award; the short ceremony MCed by comedian Alexis Gay will highlight a select few. Altogether, expect the evening to be a singular opportunity to connect with an unparalleled community of peers.

Primary is a long-time booster of NYC tech. The early stage firm, now with $1B in AUM, makes pre-seed through Series A investments in New York and around the world, thanks in large part to a deep founder, operator, and VC network rooted in the city. Since 2017, Primary has hosted the invite-only NYC Summit, attracting top VCs and founders from around the world. With the NYC Tech Awards, we're excited to roll out a party for the locals, highlighting the maturation of home-town startups.

What’s the dress code?

This is an exclusive party, but not a formal one. Skip the gowns or tux rentals and come as you are.


What’s the agenda?

We want to give everyone in the room plenty of time to connect, so have optimized the evening for standing reception time. We’ll sit for a one-hour dinner and show at 7:30 PM.


Who’s being honored?

Founders of startups with top fundraises and achievement milestones in 2023. Hopefully it goes without saying: This is not exclusive to Primary investments!

Can I come late?

Yes, but we might not be able to seat you at your originally assigned table.

 

Can I bring my team?

All honorees are given free tickets, and may purchase tables or individual tickets to celebrate with their wider teams and have more control over seating arrangements.

 

Who else will be there?

In addition to leadership teams from startups with notable raises in 2023, we’ll also invite some of the VCs that helped get them there and other key ecosystem leaders.
